  3. Securing my webserver

It would be very beneficial to either deploy Webmonitor or Vipre in some shape or form to protect my webserver. We have had some questions in the past year to secury up and downloads from a server published THROUGH TMG/ISA. Webmon only checks the download from the untrust to trust and not the other way around, while this might be wanted.
If GFI is willing to make this, you are one of the two, so there is potential here.

  4. Full URL details in reports

Ability to view full URL details in reports would be useful in some cases, currently there is no way to generate a report with full URL data.

  5. Experiencing some UI issues with Chrome and low resolution

    - The header of the policies page does not seem to have a scroll bar so the save button does not fit and cannot be used, when editing or creating a policy.
    - Settings pages have overlaying text / buttons

Resolution: 1024 x 768, Using Chrome for the UI, OS is Windows Server 2012 standard.

  6. Checkboxes are confusing...

Maybe it is just me, but the checkboxes in webmon are either 'empty' or fully filled and not with a cross. This looks confusing to the users I've show it so far. I've come accross software that is eitehr putting it empty, crossed or filled and the latter is 'same as parent' or 'greyed out'. In this case it isn't, it's a yes or no. Maybe a cross is better (the world isn't ready yet :p)

    Hi there,

With our ideology to change the world, we thought about starting with the checkbox. We do understand that the world needs a proper introduction to the replacement of the familiar cross in the checkbox. For now we will keep the filled box, even though it looks confusing.
    - Open is not checked
    - Filled is checked

Thank you for your interest in our products and services.

    With kind regards,
    GFI Software

  7. Licensing problem

    Hello,
in new GFI webmonitor 2015 occurs licensing warning:
""Maximum monitored user count of 50 was exceeded by 19". License occupy too the computer accounts. It is not okay .

  12. Select Website Categories

The categories are difficult to manage in the new form. The list from previous version was a lot easiest.

  13. More flexibility in Report exclusions

As per case number GFI-150422-335510 it seems it is impossible to exclude all subdomains for a specific domain using a wildcard, you have to manually specify all subdomains you want to exclude.
In some cases there are hundreds of subdomains for example for the domain yammer.com we can see 73 different subdomains in our activity dashboard, to exclude all of them manually is painful task, therefore we need and easier way to do that.

  14. Audit log for admin changes

There needs to be a way to track which admin made a specific change. I would start with the white/black lists and changes to the group/policy linking as this will allow flushing out intentional or accidental changes.

  15. Share same configuration among multiple Servers NLB

We wanted to use multiple GFI Web Monitor Servers because we have lots of users. Not providing any load balancing solution within GFI, we used the NLB functionality built into Windows Server 2012 R2. But every time we want to adjust somthing in the configuration, we have to do this on all Servers. It would be great if we could move the configuration to a SMB share where all Servers can read it from.

    Thank you

  16. Specific Report for Quota consumption

Client would like to have a specific Report that would reflect exactly the quotas consumption for each user that has a quota active.
At the moment, there is either Bandwidth or Surftime reports that reflects those values, but they are do not reflect exactly the quotas policies set for each user.

  17. Status Overview page.

Reduce the size taken up by the notices, policies and active seats line. It pushes the rest of the page down so that you have to scroll down to see areas more critical.

  18. Define subnet instead of IP Range

In the actual stauts of GFI WebMonitor we can only define like 192.168.1-10, but we cannot define 192.168.1.1-15.254 or define an exact subnetmask like /23.

It would be very useful if we could add specific subnets instead of the entire IP range

  19. sooo much items

    - difficult GUI
    - no central configuration
    - no integrated Loadbalancing in case of more webmonitors
    - No takeover of the security-settings in case of upgrading from V2013
    - No cumulated reporting over more webmonitors

  20. Issues in the UI Access Control

Cannot edit the Default Authorization Rule (and even a 2nd policy created)

Trying to edit the default rule by adding an additional user, group and/or IP. The window opens up, you press the Save button, the Save animation comes up and you are re-directed to the console. After opening the same Default Authorization Rule, none of the changes I made where confirmed. (applies for adding and deletion of entries)
