It is very easy to hit the wrong button when deleting or approving mail. I have released mail accidentally. It would be handy to have the select all option at the bottom of the list as well.3 votes
Currently we have an issue whereby an number of legitimate emails are being blocked by the Email Exploit Engine. Can this be updated to include some sort of white listing either by domain or email address?2 votes
I would suggest to open a ticket with GFI Support.
Emails that are blocked by the Email Exploit Engine typically are malformed or have something malicious, unless there is an issue and such emails are being triggered incorrectly.
Samples would help to facilitate resolution.
We need a detailed logging of which users have logged on to GFI ME and what operations these users have done. Here I am concerned mainly with the processing of the quarantine. It should be documented, which mail would be deleted, confirmed or scanned again by the logged on user.2 votes
Android/iPhone app for approving quarantines remotely.1 vote
Please use the Quarantine RSS feeds for such an operation.
We've had Mail Essentials for many years.
Occasionally, something has gone wrong and many emails are left unprocessed (and undelivered) in various FailedMails folders. I then have to trawl the Internet for the means to re-present those mails to Exchange.
Please at least give me some links to the folders I need to complete the task and some instructions in the failure warning email.
Or preferably give me a process which will retrieve those emails, rename them from *.txt to *.eml and move them to the Replay folder for reprocessing.1 vote
With the latest version of GFI MailEssentials v21.3 FailedMails go directly to the quarantine (as well as being saved to the FailedMails folder).
This is valid for most scenarios.
In this case all that needs to be done is from the interface to click on ReScan.
I find myself often searching for the reason that an email is Quarantined OR whitelisted OR blocked.
A universal "Search all Rules" button would be SO useful.
It would list ALL rules which could be triggered by this current email with, presumably, the one that fired at the top.
It can be SO difficult to track these things down, often by repeatedly typing a variety of keywords or partial keywords, with or without wildcards, into several Search boxes.
Please, a button to return ALL rules, in precedence order, with then a button for each rule to let me edit it.1 vote
When viewing Dashboard - Logs, please move the Navigation Buttons to the top (under the filter options). That way they wont jump all over the place when you click through Pages.
Also the 'Refresh' button should return you to Page 11 vote
Something happened and I have 1700+ items in the Malware and Content screen. Most were VSAPI failures. When I click on the check box to select the record AND if I inadvertently clicked a little bit off ME unchecks ALL of the previously checked items. Argh! Please disable this feature. Please please please!1 vote
What version of GFI MailEssentials is this please?
We would like to customise the Web/User interface. For example, we would like to change the colours of the delete, rescan and confirm buttons to red, yellow and green.
Further possibilities are obvious.1 vote
Make it that we can fill in the same format for an IPv6 range in all the fields. Now we have to zero fill IPv6 ranges in the greylist exclusion but not in whitelist or SPF exceptions.

I've recently seen a feature on a competitors product, (hint hint), when the spam quarantine report is sent out in the morning, there is a link on the emailed report that the user can click to request "updates to the report since it was generated". So instead of sending 3 emails per day, we can send just the one in the morning, and if the user needs to check the quarantine in the middle of the day, they can click the "most recent report" link on the first quarantined report email to get a new current list. This would solve a number of feature requests I see in here.
