If an admin wants to perform maintenance work in the network, but the user had previously shut down the machine, he could start that machine from the platform without physically pushing the button. I'm actually using WOL heavily in my networks :)2 votes
Thanks for the suggestion.
Instead of the cumbersome user/password for Platform/Controller/Agent communication, authenticate the communication with one or more public/private key pairs. This type of authentication is widely used, very secure and should pretty much eliminate any possible man in the middle attacks.
Another big positive is the configuration of communication would be much less cumbersome on for the OneGuard administrator.
