Kerio Connect

Welcome to our Kerio Connect feedback forum. Do you have an idea? Do you recognize a good idea when you see one? We want to hear from you!

How can we improve Kerio Connect?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".
(thinking…)

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

  1. Kerio Connect needs the ability to dynamically create groups or mail lists

Need ability to create dynamic groups?

Groups or mail lists like the following

    All Users
    All MFG
    All ENG
    All IT

I don't want to have to manually maintain these groups. If I add a new mail account for someone in the engineering department I'd like Kerio to automagically add that user to the All Users group and the the all Eng group.

Perhaps I can use a token or place holder in the create group like ${department} = "ENG" and assign all engineers to the ENG group. for all users something like #{domain} = "some domain name"...

  5. Enable/Disable a group

In case of users can't write to a mail group or a group is not joinable.
It should be interesting to be able to enable or disable the activity of the group as a count user.

  6. Include IO info in the system health section of the administration page.

It would be really nice if you could see disk IO information in the system health section of the Kerio Administration page.

  7. Mailing List scope

It would be good if you could have a tick box for "Permit Kerio account member to send to this list"

What I mean by this is, if we have a Mailing list for Admin staff that workshop staff want to send to, they can't without moderator approval currently. Having this option would allow any member with an account on that server to send to this list... Effectively an in-house list. No one would need to moderate the list.

  8. Show last time a message filter was used

Just like you can see the last time a Custom Spam filter rule was used in the admin console, it would be great to have the same column in the Message filters list.

  9. Find an email address in groups & accounts

Currently the only way to see the list of addresses associated with a user or group is to open the entity for editing. Consequently, it can be difficult to know where to go to change or delete an email address if the admin doesn't know which user or group owns it.

I'd like to be able to search for an address and have Kerio tell me where it's configured, or at least to see the addresses for each user & group in the admin list.

  11. Connect + Control

It would be nice if when targeted spam attack on the organization, the mail server Kerio Connect reported ip-address and a domain name server to Kerio Control that would, in turn, would create a temporary rule to block the sender hosts, those most unloaded the mail server of unnecessary traffic and inspections.
    Sorry for my English.

  12. Use hard-link in file system for attachment for mail-list

If someone sends a mail to a mail-list with a large attachment, the mail is duplicated n times into all the mail-boxes locally on the server. Instead it would make sense to use filesystem hard-links so the mail only take up the space once. This is possible on linux and Mac - I am not sure about PC filesystem hard links.

  14. Resource conflict response

I'd like to be able to customize the resource conflict auto email. Right now it simply states “Reservation of resource ‘<resource name>’ has failed.” I’d prefer it to say that it is “unavailable” (as “failed” may cause users to think there is a system problem {I know my users}), and if possible state when the resource is available.

  15. Add a Group's into Mailing list's

    Hello.
I beg you to implement the ability to add in Mailing Lists User Groups from AD.
Very uncomfortable every time when hiring or firing an employee manually clean out a user from all mailing lists or add. And with high turnover can be very difficult to follow this, when there are users in AD.
I do not understand why it has not yet been implemented.
If this is not possible, At least let the user when creating a drop-down menu is presented in which groups to add a new user.

  16. Public folder deduplication

We use the following tools to deduplication public folders. It can heavly reduce the amount of mail on a server.

    https://github.com/quentinsf/IMAPdedup

The option to run this from the admin console same as you can currently re-index pubic folders would be great. I've remove anywhere between a few gigabytes to a 100gb of mail from servers in the past using this tool.

  17. The ability to add full HTML in the domain footer in Admin Console to allow any customizations I want while retaining placeholder

I would like to paste a fully customised HTML footer in the domain section of the admin console. I must be able to specify whatever Font, Colour etc I want and then edit the HTML to include the placeholders for contact information.

Current feature does not allow us to use custom font for the placeholder meaning HTML footer is useless unless we happen to use Arial, Times New Roman...

  18. New GAL for public contacts

    - add possibility of non-administrator user can edit public contacts. In new GAL contacts edited with Outlook (public folder) are being overrided by GAL where only mailserver admin is able to change contact details

    - customized contact information (I need FAX number, manager name, second mobile phone/VoIP)

    - not possible to import/export contacts with new GAL

  19. Spam Filter Blacklists - import/export

Reliability and availability of LHSBL DNS blocklists change. For some organisations, we check not just whether or not an IP is on a DNSBL, but also on how many blocklists a particular IP is listed. By keeping the score increase low (0.1 points), the cumulative number of separate blocklists that lists an IP gives a more reliable result and less likelihood of false positives.

However, to manage these lists is a pain. I had several Kerio sessions time out on me because it took me to long to manually copy entries of one block list into another, forcing me to…

  20. Auto-cleanup exclusion for shared folders per domain

    hello over there ....

it would be nice, to exclude shared-folders from auto-cleanup.

    atm there are four alternatives
    - trash
    - spam
    - sent
    - all except contacts and notes

    what about another one with
    - all except contacts, notes and shared folders
