Kerio Connect

Welcome to our Kerio Connect feedback forum. Do you have an idea? Do you recognize a good idea when you see one? We want to hear from you!

How can we improve Kerio Connect?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  1. Public Folders which allow to share ANY SUBFOLDER inside on a mobile phone

If you have customers who tend to create new public folders for ppl working outside on construction sites and you have to enable mobile Device sharing for ANY new folder, you start to feel a bit abused by your own system. How about enabling sharing for a specific folder and ANY folder inside it INCLUDING future made ones??!

  2. "Integration with device" link touchability

This may seem trivial, but I believe it would improve usability. The bottom of the login page for Kerio Connect has the "Integration with device" link. There is no white space below this link, so if a user scrolls down to see the link on a mobile device, it appears only barely at the bottom of the screen. On small screens, this makes it difficult for some people to properly press with their finger, often pressing the buttons at the bottom of the browser, instead of the page within the browser. Add a line or two below the link to…

  3. DNSSEC

As you will well know spam - unsolicited emails - are a big problem for everyone who uses email. Related to spam are fake emails where the sender details are faked.

Kerio Connect supports some features to help in both cases such as a spam filter, black lists, and support for SPF - Sender Policy Framework. Kerio Connect also has some support for DKIM - Domain Keys.

However Kerio Connect does not support DNSSEC. Whilst SPF and DKIM help in ensuring emails for a domain are only sent from a mail server authorised to send for that domain they do…

  4. Allow to personnalize the message that the sender receives when the attachment is refused by the rule defined in the server

It would be nice to have the possibility to modify the rejected message with the logo of our company, our own explanation text, the raison why we block the mail, the list of the extensions blocked, the alternatives to send the file in an other maner...

  5. koff speed search

Kerio is a great product for so many reasons, but everyone of our clients, including our own personel is complaining that searches in Outlook (compared to Exchange online) is too slow, and I have to agree.

This is a really very important point the users make, and it should not be underestimated.

Also when prices of the Microsoft online Exchange products are as low as they are today, people ask questions why they should keep using an alternative mailserver.

And the main reason why our users want to switch .. really is .. that working with Outlook in combination with…

  6. Migrate from Kerio to Kerio

As servers come and go it should be easier to migrate a mail domain and users with the settings from one Kerio server to another.

This will be useful for example if you want to migrate multiple Kerio servers to 1 server or want to split a heavy loaded server to multiple servers.

  7. Way to alert admin if a large number of messages in the mail queue.

A way to get an alert of some kind if there is a high number of messages in the queue? We have had a couple of times now where we had someone's email account get hacked and sending out large numbers of messages, mostly sitting in the out queue.

  8. Allow Users to be added to Groups in adjacent Domains

Users should be able to be added to Groups located in adjacent Domains on the same Kerio Connect server, at the discretion of the Admin.

This would reduce the requirement for mailing lists, reduce duplicate emails for recipients that exist in multiple groups and allow easier management of users for Administrators.

  10. smtp relay security to allow only certain domains

On the smtp relay-control there could be a domain list, which domains can relay mail. This would force the "from" field of the mail to come out of this list of domains. I could add mycompany.com and my2ndcompany.com to this list so users cannot use a different from-adres. This would add security if someones username/password got stolen without them knowing and authenticated smtp-relay is allowed.

  12. I want to disable spam for only one domain or user so I don't miss any business

I want to disable spam for only one domain or user. This ensures me that my company is not loosing business. Sometimes mails are being missed due to issues with the sender.

  13. Have group address in available alias list for users which belongs to it

Currently a user can send an email using it's own address or one of the alias created in the tab "EMAIL ADDRESSES".
It would be useful if the same user is able to use also a group alias which belongs to.
I.E. john@company.com belongs to group "support" (which has support@company.com as email address). It would be useful if, in the list of "From" aliases, the user could also select "support@company.com" as well as john@company.com, john.doe@company.com, j.doe@company.com, etc.

  14. mixed mailing lists

mail group from AD, mailing list include it and local users/crossdomain users
A member of a mail group must have the right to put letters in the mailing list (if it contains this group).
Now users receive mail, but can not send when setting up: Non-member can post a message - Moderator must approve.

  15. Company locations - rework

When changing the company locations, all users need to reassign the new locations, otherwise they continue to use the old one.
When migrating users between Windows subdomains, the company's locations remains the same even if a restriction on its use is set.

  16. KADE Should be reworked.

    Steps to reproduce:
    Used configuration:
    Multi-Server + kerio-connect-kade-9.2.5-3336-p3-win64
    Domain controllers based on: Windows Server 2008 R2 / 2012/2012 R2
    Domain level 2008

    Primary domain: domain.com
    mail domain: sub1.domain.com
    mail domain: sub2.domain.com
Domain names are the same as AD domain structure.
Connection AD services produced by appropriate domain administrator accounts.

    1. In each domain there is a user administrator.
The primary domain with full rights, subdomains with the right administration of their own domain accounts.
If you go to a subdomain Windows controller snap-in "AD - Users and Passwords", and choose any user.
then on the "Kerio Connect Account" tab -…

  18. Have Kerio Connect Client the ability to change size like you can do with Ctrl + or - in a web browser

Have Kerio Connect Client the ability to change size like you can do with Ctrl + or - in a web browser.
The problem stems from Kerio Connect Client used on a 4K monitor. If your monitor is under 35" the Client's text and grafics are so small that you have to have your face with in inches to be able to read it. I have a 27" monitor and 20/20 vision and I can not read it uless I have my face 4 inches from the screen. There needs to be a way to adjust text and grafics size…

  20. Approved sender

Maybe some (Outlook, KOC) button "approved sender" would be nice. And then use these senders in the server based rules. Idea behind this: only approved senders receive an automatic answer with a server based rule.
