We would also appreciate this since we redirect the original messages to a folder which is only accessible by the admins so that legitimate attachments can be retrieved. Thus the standard message that the attachment has been deleted is misleading.

We have large folders that even when synchronizing only the headers create Outlook profiles of several gigabytes. This is a nightmare on our terminal server where the profiles take up valuable local disk space. The server is connected via GBit Ethernet to our Kerio Server, so no need for any synching/offline availability. Old online Connector is of no use on a Terminal Server.
Please add an option to use the new Outlook Connector in a true online mode where no data is cached locally!
