Barcode routing is one method important to businesses from small to enterprise that use document management systems, archiving systems, document delivery automation, Radiology Information Systems, Electronic Health Record systems and more as part of their mission critical workflow processes in highly automated environments.

Based on an extension to OCR, an inbound fax can have a barcode read, and then routed to the appropriate place based on the routing rules. A further extension to this could allow barcodes to be placed in the Footer stamping based on user or application sending the fax. This would allow the returned fax to be routed once received back.

There was nothing in the root of In
I found an email in \Program Files (x86)\GFI\FaxMaker\in\emailqueue
0af095a9-3096-4f9d-bed5-c75b6e3a74b2.queued. This was one of the welcome emails produced from clicking on a user and sending a welcome email.

This was never delivered, even though the email settings are correct and sending a test from the email gateway config works fine and gets delivered.

I also note that if I select a different user to send a welcome email to, the existing one in the queue gets removed and the new one appears.

After clicking the link provided to set password and entering in the user name in the email and entering a password and submitting, an error message appears "check username and password complexity or contact your administrator. (I cannot find a mention of password complexity in the manual).

Logging into GFI Directory and manually entering a password, clicking Reset Password and saving seems to have no impact. Same message appears>

Looking at the WCFClientFMUserManagement.log is see the following error:
2015-04-23,11:15:51,763,1,"#00001294","#00000009","error ","WCFClientIFMUserManagement","Error: Failed to dispose: GFI.FaxMaker.UserManagement.IFMUserManagement. The communication object, System.ServiceModel.Channels.ServiceChannel, cannot be used for communication because it is in the Faulted state."

    Update.

This installation is in a non AD environment, no GFI Archiver, not using a mail server for email to fax, and using hosted email (Google Apps) for email notifications and fax to email.

I did a complete uninstall of FM2015 and GFI DS. Deleted Registry keys. Deleted Folders and files. I then installed fresh on the Windows 8.1. At this point FM and DS installed as expected. However, due to another issue with the config Wizard not defaulting to port 587 or 465 (I am guessing this is the case here) when selecting SSL for the email gateway settings, I am not sure if I was meant to receive an email to the Admin confirming login info for DS.

    It wasn't previously installed.

Later versions of GFI FaxMaker are able to route inbound faxes to folders, which can be used by third party applications to pick up those files and enter into their workflow process. There are various ways of auto uploading files to SP published to achieve uploading files to Libraries including a number of published PowerShell scripts

GFI FaxMaker 2014 has the ability in the configuration for specifying where you would like the log files to be saved. You can also specify when to start logging to new log files, delete old log files and also to compress and keep old log files.

Whitelisting a recipient would be a good idea only if you still had it checked for Malware otherwise you would be leaving the company open. It only takes one breach to impact a network.

If users can get to OWA they would also be able to get to the web version of GFI MailArchiver.

Agreed, having an OWA plugin would simplify the process for users though.

GFI FaxMaker now supports monitoring multiple Text API folders, allowing different systems or the same system servicing multiple customers to write to specific API folders.

Having said that, forcing a .ok or .err file regardless of the presence of fr: command appears sensible on the face of it.
